Assisting the Damien Center with a Dream Window

I heard about the devastating fire at the Albany Damien Center’s South Lake Avenue headquarters.  How terrible.  This isn’t what the Damien Center needs right now.  They exist for the simple goal of assisting those who have been stricken with HIV and its complications.  No judgments, no sermons.  Just a helping hand.

Last year, I was honored to donate my first Dream Window, The Dream Window of Kenwood Avenue, to the Damien Center’s “Art for AIDS’ Sake” auction.

Even before the fire, however, I made a decision to help the Damien Center by donating one of my Dream Windows – in this case, Dream Window 6: The Beacon – for their “Art for AIDS’ Sake” auction.

Dream Window 6 - The Beacon

That’s right.  Dream Window 6, the centerpiece of my “A Dream in the Dash” art show earlier this year, will find a new home to the highest bidder at the Damien Center’s upcoming auction.  Look.  This is the kind of artwork that belongs in an appreciative person’s home.  And if it helps generate some funds for the Damien Center… then so be it.

I’m in communications with the Damien Center officials, and as soon as some paperwork is completed, this little artwork – well, if you consider a 36×36 artwork “little” – could be yours.

And you know you want it.

Just sayin’ is all.
